Traditional Norwegian mittens in gorgeous Christmas colours make for the perfect Christmas gift or project to relax with over The Holidays. However, this pattern looks just as beautiful in any other colour combination you choose to knit them in.
We recommend that you use Norwegian wool which naturally felts so that the mittens become warmer and mold to your hands with wear. An even finish is easier to achieve too with Norwegian wool.

Love your garment
All Susan Fosse garments can be either hand washed or washed in the washing machine using a hand wash wool cycle. To wash by hand use a detergent with a neutral pH and wash in lukewarm water, 30 degrees centigrade / 86 degrees Fahrenheit. Rinse well. Roll the garment in a towel to remove as much of the water as possible and then dry flat (do not hang to dry). The garment can then be gently steamed with an iron on a low setting. To wash by machine use a detergent with a neutral pH. Wash garment on its own, on a wool cycle at 30 degrees centigrade / 86 degrees Fahrenheit. Do not tumble dry. Dry flat (do not hang to dry). The garment can then be gently steamed with an iron on a low setting.
How to measure:
- A - Chest: underarm to underarm
- B - Back: base of collar to base of sweater
- C - Sleeve: centre neck to cuff
All our products are individually made so there can be a slight variation of up to 3 cm in each product.

A cup cozy or “koppvarmer” as it is called in Norwegian, is the perfect accessory for your favourite tea or coffee cup without a handle. Tea or coffee definitely tastes better with our cup cozy and there is a pocket for a cookie or a sugar cube or two. The bright coloured yarn gives a contemporary twist to a traditional Norwegian pattern. The pattern, to be knitted from the bottom and up, is for a large cup, but you can reduce the number of plain rows after the bottom rib and before the top rib, if you want it for a shorter cup.

Tradisjonelle votter i herlige julefarger - perfekte som strikkegaver eller som kosestrikk i julen. Du kan selvfølgelig velge andre farger og annet garn enn det vi har brukt, men vi vil anbefale å strikke vottene i ren norsk ull. Strikket i ren ull kommer vottene til og toves lett ved bruk.
