The iconic, classic Norwegian Sweater - knitted in 100% wool with pewter hooks and wool braiding. The rich intricate design is inspired by the patterns used in the Setesdal area of Norway - arguably the most traditional and well known patterns being used in Nordic sweaters. The name is taken from Rundemanen mountain - one of the 7 mountains surrounding the beautiful coastal town of Bergen. Available in two colour combinations as well as a cardigan version.

Love your garment
All Susan Fosse garments can be either hand washed or washed in the washing machine using a hand wash wool cycle. To wash by hand use a detergent with a neutral pH and wash in lukewarm water, 30 degrees centigrade / 86 degrees Fahrenheit. Rinse well. Roll the garment in a towel to remove as much of the water as possible and then dry flat (do not hang to dry). The garment can then be gently steamed with an iron on a low setting. To wash by machine use a detergent with a neutral pH. Wash garment on its own, on a wool cycle at 30 degrees centigrade / 86 degrees Fahrenheit. Do not tumble dry. Dry flat (do not hang to dry). The garment can then be gently steamed with an iron on a low setting.
How to measure:
- A - Chest: underarm to underarm
- B - Back: base of collar to base of sweater
- C - Sleeve: centre neck to cuff
All our products are individually made so there can be a slight variation of up to 3 cm in each product.
Wool however is very stretchy!

Classic and comfortable traditional Norwegian cardigan. Gorgeous pewter buttons with a Viking ship motif and 100% wool braiding enhance the rich design. Sandviken has been part of the collection since 1992 with only small improvements made over the years. The design is inspired by Mount Sandviken, one of the seven mountains that surround the beautiful city of Bergen and knitted in 100% wool which you can wash in the washing machine on a wool programme. You will be hard pressed to find a more traditional Norwegian cardigan.

A collection of six personal images taken by Susan along the West coast of Norway printed onto a polyester buff. When you first get used to using your buff, you won´t want to leave the house without it. So practical and handy to use, comfortable to wear and striking to look at.
Glacier - This photograph was taken at Nigardsbreen in Luster. The beautiful aqua lake formed by the water running down from the glacier reflected the stunning patterns in the rock. The icy water so enticing, you could almost just dive in.
Bryggen - The vibrant colours of the beautiful wooden facade at Bryggen, hide the treasures to be discovered behind. Our delightful shop can be found here along with other artists and designers shops and studios.
Reflection - Captured on a sunny winters day at Kjøsnesfjorden in Jølster. This view is never the same from one day to the next. You can just see some of Grova Glacier in the top right of the photo.
Stryn-Pulley - The only means to haul supplies up to the farm at Segestad, Stryn was to use this Pulley. Hard work, but what a view!
Flåmsdalen - Everyone visits Flåm, it`s a beautiful place. Wander further up the valley and discover the real magic.
Skansen - Instead of taking the funicular up Mount Fløien, make your own route through the narrow streets and alleyways between these colourful houses which cling to the mountainside. It’s worth getting lost here!

Love your garment
All Susan Fosse garments can be either hand washed or washed in the washing machine using a hand wash wool cycle. To wash by hand use a detergent with a neutral pH and wash in lukewarm water, 30 degrees centigrade / 86 degrees Fahrenheit. Rinse well. Roll the garment in a towel to remove as much of the water as possible and then dry flat (do not hang to dry). The garment can then be gently steamed with an iron on a low setting. To wash by machine use a detergent with a neutral pH. Wash garment on its own, on a wool cycle at 30 degrees centigrade / 86 degrees Fahrenheit. Do not tumble dry. Dry flat (do not hang to dry). The garment can then be gently steamed with an iron on a low setting.
How to measure:
- A - Chest: underarm to underarm
- B - Back: base of collar to base of sweater
- C - Sleeve: centre neck to cuff
All our products are individually made so there can be a slight variation of up to 3 cm in each product.
