Ruth Sofie's Summer Favourites
Although I'm the newest member of the team, it’s already almost a year since I joined Susan Fosse. During this time I have gotten to know all our wonderful products and found several favourites. Even though the summer is over for now, at least here in Bergen, I would like to tell you which products have been my summer favourites.
I'm a scarf person, I wear scarves throughout the whole year. No surprise then that my go to favourite is one of our wool and silk scarves. I love the clear blue tones in our Reflection scarf. After knitting a dreamy blue mohair sweater this spring, I cannot get enough blue! The sweater and my Reflection scarf were perfect together on our summer camping trip - so soft, warm and cosy while we sat outside watching the sun go down. I love things that have several uses and when I haven't been wrapped up in my scarf, I've used it to protect my camera, when too lazy to take a bag, and to wrap my little girls up in, in their prams.
Wearing my favourite blues, a late summer evening in Balestrand
Our family summer holiday was spent camping in Norway. I just love camping! With us we had a selection of Images of Norway products which were well used throughout the 3 week holiday. Our tote bag was perfect to transport towels and toiletries when trudging to the showers, perfect for nappies, wet wipes and antibac when going into town and for our swimming gear when we had a day at the beach. Everywhere I go, I like to have some knitting with me and the cotton pouch is ideal to carry small knitting projects with you wherever you may be. The tea towels were used every day and the buffs, only a couple of times when the weather was not being kind to us.
My grandfather's much loved Setesdal cardigan has kept me warm on many a chilly summer's evening, but is now in need of some tender love, care and a little fixing. Maybe I need to invest in a Sandviken cardigan for next summer... I love to have a gorgeous sweater to throw on when summer nights are long and evenings are spent sitting up late chatting and catching up with friends.
Hope you've all had a lovely summer, I know I have. Now I'm ready for autumn and wrapping up in layer upon layer of wonderful wool :)
Never not knitting ;)
