The pattern of the Stølen cardigan is based on the pattern used in Kvam, but instead of contrasting colours Susan has used two different stitches to create a wonderful texture. Stølen is unbelievably comfortable with a full zipper, fleece on the inside of the collar and an elastic drawstring at the base to give it a perfect fit on the hip. Stølen is knitted in 100% wool. Designed and produced in Norway.

Love your garment
All Susan Fosse garments can be either hand washed or washed in the washing machine using a hand wash wool cycle. To wash by hand use a detergent with a neutral pH and wash in lukewarm water, 30 degrees centigrade / 86 degrees Fahrenheit. Rinse well. Roll the garment in a towel to remove as much of the water as possible and then dry flat (do not hang to dry). The garment can then be gently steamed with an iron on a low setting. To wash by machine use a detergent with a neutral pH. Wash garment on its own, on a wool cycle at 30 degrees centigrade / 86 degrees Fahrenheit. Do not tumble dry. Dry flat (do not hang to dry). The garment can then be gently steamed with an iron on a low setting.
How to measure:
- A - Chest: underarm to underarm
- B - Back: base of collar to base of sweater
- C - Sleeve: centre neck to cuff
All our products are individually made so there can be a slight variation of up to 3 cm in each product.

The total cost of your order will include a delivery charge. Delivery times will vary according to how quickly the mail service can deliver. To wash by hand use a detergent with a neutral pH and wash in lukewarm water, 30 degrees centigrade / 86 degrees Fahrenheit. Rinse well. Roll the garment in a towel to remove as much of the water as possible and then dry flat (do not hang to dry). The garment can then be gently steamed with an iron on a low setting. To wash by machine use a detergent with a neutral pH. Wash garment on its own, on a wool cycle at 30 degrees centigrade / 86 degrees Fahrenheit. Do not tumble dry. Dry flat (do not hang to dry). The garment can then be gently steamed with an iron on a low setting.

The design combines a bluebell pattern taken from a watercolor painting Susan painted at the summer house when she was 16 with some traditional geometric patterns. The colour combinations are cool and light inspired by long summer evenings at the summer house in Norway. The name "Nøstet" is from a part of Bergen Centre - where you can still find some of the small older whitewashed wooden houses. Mount Ulriken is Bergen´s highest mountain at 643 metres above sea level. There is a cable car you can take up, or if you and the kids are feeling fit, you can climb the long steps to the top.
Our Ulriken design was one of Susan´s first designs she made in 1992 and is still a firm favourite. Inspired by many a long hike to the summit of Mount Ulriken.
The sweater can be machine washed - and is both comfortable and durable - perfect for active children outdoors or for keeping cosy indoors. Trimmed with beautiful wool braiding and pewter hooks, this is a classic!

Love your garment
All Susan Fosse garments can be either hand washed or washed in the washing machine using a hand wash wool cycle. To wash by hand use a detergent with a neutral pH and wash in lukewarm water, 30 degrees centigrade / 86 degrees Fahrenheit. Rinse well. Roll the garment in a towel to remove as much of the water as possible and then dry flat (do not hang to dry). The garment can then be gently steamed with an iron on a low setting. To wash by machine use a detergent with a neutral pH. Wash garment on its own, on a wool cycle at 30 degrees centigrade / 86 degrees Fahrenheit. Do not tumble dry. Dry flat (do not hang to dry). The garment can then be gently steamed with an iron on a low setting.
How to measure:
- A - Chest: underarm to underarm
- B - Back: base of collar to base of sweater
- C - Sleeve: centre neck to cuff

A light structural pattern inspired by the traditional fisherman's sweater, covers the body of the jacket in the main colour. There is an elegant pattern with the contrast colour across the chest. Down each side of the body there is a rib to give a better fit and excellent mobility. The cardigan has a full zip, fleece lined collar and a practical elastic drawstring at the base of the sweater, for a perfect fit. Knitted in 100% wool.
The design takes its name after an old farmstead in Bergen. Alvøen is one of the oldest and best kept industrial sites in Norway where the mill, as well as the old farmsteads, have been turned into a museum. Well worth a visit! The lovely whitewashed workers houses situated by the sea, have all been renovated and are so pretty.

- We are not responsible for lost or stolen packages. Please use shipping method that can be tracked. We recommend you insure the parcel when shipping higher-priced items. Packages must be returned prepaid—we do not accept C.O.D. deliveries.
- We will only refund shipping charges if we've sent the wrong item or if the item sent is defective.
- Subsequent to an approval authorization, we can only credit the credit card used for the original purchase. No store credit, gift card, or gift certificates will be issued. Please allow up to 30 days or 1 – 2 billing cycles for the refund credit to appear on your statement.
