The pattern of the Stølen cardigan is based on the pattern used in Kvam, but instead of contrasting colours Susan has used two different stitches to create a wonderful texture. Stølen is unbelievably comfortable with a full zipper, fleece on the inside of the collar and an elastic drawstring at the base to give it a perfect fit on the hip. Stølen is knitted in 100% wool. Designed and produced in Norway.

Love your garment
All Susan Fosse garments can be either hand washed or washed in the washing machine using a hand wash wool cycle. To wash by hand use a detergent with a neutral pH and wash in lukewarm water, 30 degrees centigrade / 86 degrees Fahrenheit. Rinse well. Roll the garment in a towel to remove as much of the water as possible and then dry flat (do not hang to dry). The garment can then be gently steamed with an iron on a low setting. To wash by machine use a detergent with a neutral pH. Wash garment on its own, on a wool cycle at 30 degrees centigrade / 86 degrees Fahrenheit. Do not tumble dry. Dry flat (do not hang to dry). The garment can then be gently steamed with an iron on a low setting.
How to measure:
- A - Chest: underarm to underarm
- B - Back: base of collar to base of sweater
- C - Sleeve: centre neck to cuff
All our products are individually made so there can be a slight variation of up to 3 cm in each product.
Wool however is very stretchy!

A beautiful lightweight cotton cardigan with a full zip. The design combines a bluebell pattern taken from a watercolor painting Susan painted at the summer house when she was 16 with some traditional geometric patterns. The colour combinations are cool and light inspired by long summer evenings at the summer house in Norway. It doesn't get really dark in Norway in the summer, but it can get a little chilly sitting on the rocks by the fjord, watching the sun go down. Nøstet Children's Sweater

A gorgeous classic Norwegian Sweater knitted in 100% wool. The Setesdal rose is the inspiration for the band across the chest - a very traditional pattern in Norway. The name "Nøstet" is from a part of Bergen Centre - where you can still find some of the small older whitewashed wooden houses. The area has become very popular recently with lots of families moving in, renovating the old houses and once again making this part of the city centre a very welcoming place to live. Our Ulriken design was one of Susan´s first designs she made in 1992 and is still a firm favourite. Inspired by many a long hike to the summit of Mount Ulriken.

Love your garment
All Susan Fosse garments can be either hand washed or washed in the washing machine using a hand wash wool cycle. To wash by hand use a detergent with a neutral pH and wash in lukewarm water, 30 degrees centigrade / 86 degrees Fahrenheit. Rinse well. Roll the garment in a towel to remove as much of the water as possible and then dry flat (do not hang to dry). The garment can then be gently steamed with an iron on a low setting. To wash by machine use a detergent with a neutral pH. Wash garment on its own, on a wool cycle at 30 degrees centigrade / 86 degrees Fahrenheit. Do not tumble dry. Dry flat (do not hang to dry). The garment can then be gently steamed with an iron on a low setting.
How to measure:
- A - Chest: underarm to underarm
- B - Back: base of collar to base of sweater
- C - Sleeve: centre neck to cuff
All our products are individually made so there can be a slight variation of up to 3 cm in each product.
Wool however is very stretchy!
